Jared Thomas Goff (born October 14, 1994) is an American football quarterback currently playing for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League. After a successful collegiate career at California, Goff was drafted first overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. Following the benching of starting quarterback Case Keenum, Goff was named the starter on November 16, 2016. Four days later, he made his professional debut for the Rams on November 20, 2016. He returned the following season and was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career, leading the Rams to the playoffs where they were defeated by the Atlanta Falcons in the Wild Card round. In 2018, Goff led the Rams to a 13–3 record and helped Los Angeles reach the 2019 NFC Championship Game.
